Tina is head of our Residential Property Department and has over 18 years' experience in residential conveyancing, and thoroughly enjoys this area of work which enables her to assist many Clients with their sales and purchases to ensure as smooth a transaction as is possible.

Tina has worked in the legal industry, within conveyancing, since 1999. In 2002, Tina commenced her training to be a Legal Executive and working full time, and raising her family also, she qualified as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2007 and as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2009.

Tina worked in two very reputable firms locally, gaining valuable experience, prior to then forming McCarthy Webb with her co Principal Jayne McCarthy.

Jayne is head of our Commercial Property Department, and has over 30 years specialising in not only residential conveyancing but commercial property law. Jayne enjoys the diversity of both residential and commercial property work and finds that the benefit of dealing with both areas of law, enables her to provide a wider range of advice to her Clients

Jayne originally started working in a local firm of solicitors in 1987 primarily as a legal assistant and then in 1994 commenced training as a Legal Executive and also, working full time, she qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 1999. Once qualifying as a Fellow, Jayne then continued with her studying at the College of Law and qualified as a Solicitor in 2005.

Jayne remained with her original firm for over 22 years until in 2010, she formed McCarthy Webb with her co Principal Tina Webb.

Rebecca is head of our Private Client and Probate team. Rebecca is a Chartered Legal Executive and Commissioner for Oaths and has worked in the field of Private Client law since 1999, qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2007. She has previously worked at an Eastbourne branch of a large south-east law firm for sixteen years, and spent a further three years working for a smaller firm in Hastings, returning to Eastbourne to join McCarthy Webb in early 2019 to head our Private Client department. Jayne and Tina invited Rebecca to become a Director with them in October 2020.

Rebecca specialises in Wills, Probates and Powers of Attorney and is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and a full accredited member of SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly). Rebecca also sits on the Board of Trustees of Age UK East Sussex

Darcy graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Laws degree and graduated the Legal Practice Course and a Master of Laws in 2023.

Darcy currently specialises in residential and commercial property transactions and will be applying to the SRA for admission as a solicitor in 2025 following completion of the SRA Training.

Carol has worked in the legal profession for a number of years. She previously worked in a large south-east law firm for over 30 years, initially in their Conveyancing Department and more recently in their Private Client Department.

She joined McCarthy Webb in November 2021 and assists Jayne McCarthy in the Conveyancing Department and Rebecca Haywood in the Private Client Department.

Hannah has worked within the conveyancing field since 2015, gaining a wealth of experience working at a local East Sussex firm before joining McCarthy Webb in April 2018.

Whilst assisting Tina Webb as Head of Residential Conveyancing, Hannah is also training as a Licensed Conveyancer and managing her own caseload specialising in residential conveyancing.

Vicky began working part-time at McCarthy Webb as an office assistant whilst studying for a BA (Hons) in Art and Design.

Following graduation, in 2017 Vicky joined the firm in a full-time role assisting in both the Private Client and Conveyancing Departments. Vicky is now Conveyancing Assistant for Jayne McCarthy and Darcy Haren.

Michael has worked within the legal profession for 32 years, originally starting as a legal cashier for a medium sized South-East law firm in 1991 and later being their Accounts Manager.

Michael joined McCarthy Webb in August 2023 as Accounts and Finance Manager, and bringing a supportive role to the firm as a whole.

Hayley joined McCarthy Webb in 2023, having previously worked for another local law firm as a receptionist for over ten years.

Hayley enjoys her role and will always be happy to assist, whether you are making an initial enquiry or an existing client of McCarthy Webb.
